POCHETTINO SIGNS NEW USMNT CONTRACT THROUGH 2030 WORLD CUP
Mauricio Pochettino has agreed a new contract with the United States men's national team that will extend his tenure as head coach through the 2030 World Cup, U.S. Football announced on Monday. The agreement follows Pochettino's appearance at the 2026 World Cup on home soil. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed at the time of announcement.
Under the terms of the expanded agreement, Pochettino and his coaching staff will assume responsibilities beyond match management for the USMNT. According to U.S. Football, they will advise and support the organisation on the development of the full National Team pathway, youth football, coaching education, professional league collaboration and other technical aspects across the football community. The arrangement represents a broadened remit for Pochettino's role within the federation's structure.
The contract secures Pochettino's position with the federation for a further four-year period. U.S. Football confirmed the agreement on 3 August 2026, marking a significant commitment to continuity in the USMNT's leadership during the cycle leading to the next World Cup tournament.
