HUNGARY TO SHUT SOLE NUCLEAR PLANT AS DANUBE HITS RECORD LOW

Hungary's prime minister has warned the country faces "the most critical five days ahead" as the sole nuclear power plant is expected to shut down this week. The closure follows record-low water levels on the River Danube, according to reports.

A European drought has driven the Danube to record-low levels, forcing the shutdown of the nuclear facility.
