LAY'S SOUR CREAM & DILL CRISPS RECALLED OVER UNDECLARED ALLERGENS
Home Bargains has issued a recall for Lay's Sour Cream & Dill Crisps following the discovery of undeclared milk and wheat ingredients on packets sold in its stores. ASR Solutions Ltd, the company responsible for the recall, stated that the 125g packets pose a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or wheat. The recall affects all packets with best before dates up to and including 31 October 2026. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has also shared the recall notice and advised consumers not to eat the affected product.
Customers who have purchased the crisps and have an allergy, intolerance or sensitivity to milk or wheat should not consume them. The FSA stated that the product poses a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease. Home Bargains has advised affected customers to return the product to their local store for a full refund or contact support@home.bargains for further information. A point-of-sale notice has been placed in Home Bargains stores to alert shoppers to the recall.
ASR Solutions Ltd has notified relevant allergy support organisations to ensure their members are informed of the issue. The company apologised for any inconvenience caused by the recall. This is one of several food recalls issued in recent weeks relating to undeclared allergens, including a separate FSA alert for Minton and Donello Organic White Orzo over undeclared wheat.
