LIVERPOOL CHARITY UNVEILS AUTUMN EVENTS AT CALDERSTONES PARK

The Reader, a Liverpool-based charity, has announced its autumn 2026 programme featuring a new illuminated family event at Calderstones Park. Glow in the Park will take place on November 5 and 6, transforming the Mansion House garden with illuminated performances, interactive light workshops, lantern making, woodland walks, storytelling and silent disco. The programme also includes The Spooky Cinema from October 24 to 28, screening films including Hocus Pocus and Little Shop of Horrors, with gates opening one hour early for live music, street food and cocktails. A gothic-themed Seasonal Supper Club combining mystery tales with dining by in-house chefs is scheduled for October 31, whilst The Reader Retreat on November 22 will offer yoga, nature-inspired crafts and food.

Annie Bowden, Programme and Participation Manager at The Reader, said autumn represents one of the most beautiful times of year at Calderstones Park. She stated that the programme brings together "everything we love about The Reader, from family adventures and Halloween celebrations to inspiring literature, wellbeing experiences and opportunities for connection." The events are designed to provide opportunities for reflection, connection and celebration as the season changes, according to the charity's announcement.

The full schedule reflects The Reader's commitment to combining cultural programming with wellbeing activities across the autumn season. Additional details on ticket availability and specific timings for each event remain to be confirmed by the organisation.
