SEAN PAYTON TO PRESENT DREW BREES AT HALL OF FAME
Sean Payton will present Drew Brees at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony on 8 August in Canton, Ohio. Payton, currently head coach of the Denver Broncos, will miss two days of training camp to attend the ceremony and a dinner the evening before. According to reports, Payton became emotional when Brees asked him to present him at the induction.
Payton and Brees joined the New Orleans Saints together in 2006 and remained with the franchise until Brees's retirement after the 2020 season. Their tenure included a Super Bowl XLIV victory and nine playoff appearances across their time together. Payton described Brees as "special" and noted that their partnership ended with both men leaving the organisation on their own terms.
The Hall of Fame induction marks a formal recognition of Brees's career in American football. Payton's attendance as presenter underscores the significance of their professional relationship and the sustained connection between the two men after their time at New Orleans concluded.
