MANCHESTER HEATING ENGINEER WINS £1M EUROMILLIONS PRIZE
A heating engineer from Manchester has won £1,000,000 in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw earlier this month. The winner, who purchased his ticket online, chose to remain anonymous. He stated that he had played The National Lottery for 30 years, with regular ticket purchases forming part of his established routine.
The winner's first purchase following the draw was a new car. He plans to use the prize money to refurbish his home and book a holiday in a hot climate. Grace Young, Winners' Advisor at Allwyn (the operator of The National Lottery), congratulated the winner and commended his 30-year loyalty to the game.
Separately, The National Lottery reported that ten players have yet to claim approximately £16.5 million in winnings across multiple draws. Two unclaimed £1 million prizes remain from tickets purchased in Cheshire and Tameside. Andy Carter, Senior Winners' Advisor at Allwyn, urged any person who purchased a Lotto ticket in Tameside for the draw on 1 July to check their tickets carefully.
