YE SETTLES SEXUAL ASSAULT LAWSUIT WITH FORMER ASSISTANT

THU 30 JUL 2026 CRIME

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has reached an unconditional settlement with Lauren Pisciotta, his former assistant, ending a lawsuit in which she alleged sexual assault, sex trafficking and other abuses. Court papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday confirmed the settlement, though the terms remain undisclosed. Pisciotta's legal representatives stated the settlement had been classified as unconditional and that they would seek dismissal within 45 days of 23 July.

Pisciotta, a model and influencer, first sued Ye in June 2024 on grounds of wrongful termination and sexual harassment, later expanding the case in 2025 to include allegations of sexual battery, sex trafficking and assault. The complaint alleged Ye used promises of career advancement to coerce her into complying with sexual demands before firing her in 2023 after she rejected his advances. The lawsuit also described alleged harassment including fake deliveries and false emergency reports directed at her home in Florida. Pisciotta claimed Ye drugged and sexually assaulted her at a recording studio party in Santa Monica co-hosted with Sean "Diddy" Combs, where she alleged guests were compelled to consume beverages or leave the event.

The settlement was reached following mediation on 4 June, after which Pisciotta's attorneys previously informed the court that the sides had reached an agreement "in principle". The finalised settlement now brings the case to a conclusion without admission of liability or disclosure of financial terms.
