CHELSEA CLOSE TO SIGNING WELBECK, ALONSO SET TO SELL STRIKERS

Chelsea are close to completing the signing of Danny Welbeck, according to reports. The move comes as manager Xabi Alonso prepares to allow up to three strikers to leave the club during the summer transfer window. The exact financial terms and timeline for Welbeck's arrival remain unclear.

Alonso has identified Welbeck as a target as Chelsea reshape their forward line. The club's willingness to move multiple strikers on suggests significant changes to the attacking personnel. Welbeck's experience in the Premier League could provide depth to Chelsea's squad options.

The transfer activity forms part of Chelsea's broader summer business under Alonso's management. The club has been active in the transfer market as the new season approaches. Further announcements regarding incomings and outgoings are expected as the window progresses.
