EUROMILLIONS DRAW TAKES PLACE WITH JACKPOT ON OFFER

The EuroMillions draw took place tonight with a jackpot available to players. One report stated the jackpot stood at £67m, whilst another report put the figure at £50m. The draw occurred after 8.30pm, with ticket sales closing at 7.30pm. Players selected five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars from 1 to 12, or opted for a Lucky Dip for randomly selected numbers. Each line cost £2.50.

The Thunderball draw preceded the EuroMillions draw. Tonight's winning Thunderball numbers were 7, 34, 33, 36 and 1, with the Thunderball itself being 14. The odds of winning the EuroMillions jackpot were stated as approximately one in 139,838,160. Players faced odds of one in 8,060,598 of winning the Thunderball jackpot, though they held a one in 13 chance of winning any Thunderball prize. Every EuroMillions ticket holder was automatically entered into the Millionaire Maker raffle, which guaranteed one winner of £1m.

EuroMillions draws take place twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. The National Lottery also operates Lotto draws on Wednesdays and Saturdays, plus Set For Life draws on Mondays and Thursdays. Secondary prizes in EuroMillions ranged from £130,554 for matching five numbers and one Lucky Star down to smaller amounts. Around 100 million people across participating countries purchase EuroMillions tickets each week, according to one report.
