SEAN STRICKLAND RECALLS PRENUP DEMAND FROM FATHER-IN-LAW

Sean Strickland, UFC middleweight champion, has described how his wife Kimberly's father required him to sign a prenuptial agreement before approving the relationship. During an appearance on The Sean Ryan Show, Strickland said Kimberly's father insisted on the prenup to protect the family's wealth. Strickland characterised his father-in-law as extremely wealthy and noted that Kimberly held two university degrees.

Strickland recounted his first meeting with Kimberly's parents, which took place whilst he was suffering from monkeypox. He described the encounter as awkward and significant for Kimberly, though less so for himself. During the meeting, Kimberly's father asked about Strickland's childhood and his relationship with his own father. Strickland has previously disclosed that he survived an abusive childhood involving an alcoholic and violent father, and he described himself as an emotional person.

Strickland said that when discussing his past during the first meeting, he became emotional and began crying whilst recounting how his brother raised him. He stated he struggled to compose himself during the conversation. Despite the difficult circumstances of their first meeting, Strickland's relationship with Kimberly subsequently strengthened, according to his account.
