REAL MADRID TARGET MANCHESTER UNITED CAPTAIN BRUNO FERNANDES

Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes, according to reports. The Portugal international has attracted interest from Paris Saint-Germain, but Real Madrid are now also monitoring the midfielder. Manchester United are under no pressure to sell Fernandes, who has a contract at Old Trafford.

Fernandes has been one of Manchester United's most consistent performers since joining the club from Sporting CP in January 2020. The 30-year-old has scored and created goals regularly across Premier League and European competition. His captaincy role at Old Trafford underlines his standing within the squad. Manchester United have faced scrutiny over their squad rebuild under new ownership structures at the club.

Any potential transfer would represent one of the more significant moves in European football if completed. Real Madrid have a record of recruiting established midfielders from rival clubs. Manchester United have not publicly indicated any willingness to sanction a departure for Fernandes. No fee or formal offer has been confirmed by any of the clubs involved.
