STARTUP RAISES $42M TO BUILD COMPOSITE PARTS MARKETPLACE

WED 03 JUN 2026 STARTUPS

A former Anduril engineer has secured $42 million in funding to build a marketplace for composite parts. The company aims to become a centralised platform for sourcing composite components, modeled on Amazon's marketplace structure. The raise marks a significant capital commitment to the composite materials supply chain sector.

The founder previously worked at Anduril, the defence technology company, before launching the venture. Composite parts are used across aerospace, defence, and industrial manufacturing, where sourcing them has historically been fragmented. The platform targets the gap between composite part manufacturers and the buyers who need them. The Amazon-style model suggests the company plans to aggregate multiple suppliers into a single purchasing interface.

A $42 million raise gives the company substantial runway to build out its supplier network and platform infrastructure. The composite materials market spans both commercial and defence applications, giving the platform a broad potential customer base. Centralised sourcing platforms have reshaped other industrial supply chains, and the company is applying that model to composites. The funding positions the startup to move from early development into active marketplace operations.
