JAMAL ADAMS SIGNS WITH VIKINGS FOR 2025 SEASON

Safety Jamal Adams has signed with the Minnesota Vikings, the player confirmed via social media. Adams, selected sixth overall in the 2017 NFL Draft, will join his sixth team. The move marks his tenth season in the league after stints with the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders.

Adams spent three seasons with the Jets, earning Pro Bowl selections in two of those years and finishing 2018 as a second-team All-Pro and 2019 as a first-team All-Pro. He was traded to Seattle in 2020, where he qualified for a third Pro Bowl and made the All-Pro second team. In 2021, he signed a four-year extension worth $70 million, which made him the highest-paid safety in NFL history at that time. He remained with the Seahawks through the 2023 season before moving to Tennessee and Detroit in 2024.

With the Raiders last season, Adams switched from safety to linebacker and appeared in 17 games with four starts. His role with the Vikings under defensive coordinator Brian Flores remains undetermined, though the flexibility of Flores's defensive scheme could allow Adams to play both positions. Adams has earned more than $71 million across his nine-year career to date.
