ONE-YEAR-OLD BOY HOSPITALISED AFTER REPORTED WINDOW FALL IN KENT

A one-year-old boy is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after reportedly falling from a window in Gillingham, Kent. Kent Police received a call from South East Coast Ambulance Service at approximately 6.10pm on Sunday, 27 July, reporting that paramedics were treating a child "who was reported to have fallen from a window of a property" in Cornwallis Avenue. The fall is understood to have occurred from a flat situated above a shop. Officers attended the scene and the child was taken to a London hospital.

A Kent Police spokeswoman confirmed that the child sustained life-threatening injuries in the incident. The force stated that inquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing. No further details about the child's condition or the sequence of events have been released.

The investigation continues as police establish the full circumstances of the fall. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident at this stage.
