LUKE LITTLER FRONTS NETFLIX SHOW OFFERING £501K TO BEAT HIM
Luke Littler will front a new Netflix series titled "Beat Luke Littler" in which amateur players challenge the world number one darts player for a £501,000 prize. The live event will air on 30 October and will feature 20 chosen competitors, each attempting to win a single leg of 501 against the 19-year-old. Regional heats will take place in Manchester and London in September, with interested players able to apply via beatlukelittler.com. Littler said in a video message: "Reckon you could beat me in a game of darts? Let's go."
Littler's recent form underscores the scale of the challenge facing contestants. On Sunday he defeated Gerwyn Price 18-9 in the World Matchplay final in Blackpool, claiming his second consecutive Matchplay title. He averaged 111.53 in that final, setting a tournament average of 111.04 to break Phil Taylor's previous record of 106.31. Littler has won the World Championship, UK Open, Premier League and Masters titles in 2026 and became the youngest world number one at the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship in January at age 17. According to one report, he has claimed £3,143,500 over the PDC's two-year order of merit.
Netflix stated: "The rules are simple: one night, one chance, and one perfect leg of 501." Littler began playing darts aged 18 months and reached the PDC World Championship final at 16. He will defend the Grand Slam, Grand Prix and Players Championship Finals later in 2026 as he pursues what has been characterised as a clean sweep of trophies for the year.
