AIRLINES OFFER TWILIGHT BAG DROP SERVICE AT MANCHESTER AIRPORT

Several airlines operating from Manchester Airport now offer passengers a twilight bag drop service, allowing luggage to be deposited the day before travel. The service is available through Virgin, TUI, Jet2, easyJet and Ryanair, with drop-off points located in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Manchester Airport stated that passengers using the service can obtain free parking validation at designated car parks during their visit.

Operating hours vary by airline and terminal. In Terminal 2, Virgin operates from 4pm to 8pm for all flights the following day, TUI from 2pm to 9pm for flights before midday, Jet2 from 4:30pm to 9pm for flights before midday, and easyJet from 6pm to 9pm for flights before 8:30am. In Terminal 3, Ryanair operates from 7pm to 10pm for flights before 8am the next day. The airport provided vehicle registration details and car park token procedures for passengers wishing to use the service. The same twilight bag drop service is also available at Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

The service is described as a "little-known" offering by the airport, intended to help passengers navigate what can be among the country's busiest security queues. Manchester Airport advised prospective travellers to plan ahead regarding baggage measurements and permitted items to ensure a smoother airport experience on the day of travel.
