LUCAS HERBERT WINS LIV GOLF UK WITH LOWEST SCORE IN SERIES HISTORY

SUN 26 JUL 2026 GOLF

Lucas Herbert won LIV Golf UK on 26 July at JCB Golf & Country Club in Staffordshire, finishing 30-under par overall. The Australian golfer carded a final round of 10-under par 62, combining rounds of 11-under par 61, 6-under par 66, and 3-under par 69. He defeated World No. 23 Tyrrell Hatton by six shots. His winning score is the lowest recorded in LIV Golf history, and he scored 30 birdies across the tournament, the most in a single LIV event.

Herbert said the final round became stressful as Hatton made consecutive birdies whilst Herbert could not gain ground. He drew parallels to a previous competition at Virginia where he made a costly double bogey, and said he was determined not to repeat that error. During the closing stages, Herbert made an intentional adjustment to a shot from the valley to ensure it cleared the green and subsequently made the putt coming back. This marked his second win of 2026 and his second LIV Golf victory.

The result follows Herbert's T6 finish at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale earlier in July. Herbert's record-breaking performance on the LIV Golf tour extended his strong year on the circuit.
