CAITLIN CLARK LEADS TEAM SPOON TO WNBA ALL-STAR VICTORY

Caitlin Clark scored 17 points to lead Team Spoon to a 129-122 victory over Team Coop at this season's WNBA All-Star Game. Clark, of the Indiana Fever, scored multiple three-pointers during the match held in Chicago. Following the game, Clark discussed her relationship with NBA commissioner Adam Silver during a postgame press conference. She stated that she and Silver had "a great relationship" and noted his presence at the event.

Clark acknowledged Silver's increased visibility around the WNBA as the league expands. She also referenced Silver's recent public comments on the Caitlin Clark-Alyssa Thomas controversy, where he said Clark had become "a bit of a political football in this country" while acknowledging that WNBA officiating required continued improvement. Clark emphasised the importance of communication and relationships in resolving issues within the league. She also recognised the progress made by WNBA leadership under commissioner Cathy Engelbert, stating the league had "so much to be proud of" despite ongoing room for improvement.

Clark highlighted the need to focus on the league's positive developments alongside areas requiring further work. She noted that strong relationships between league leadership and players remained essential for the WNBA's continued growth. Speculation regarding Engelbert's future as commissioner continues, according to reports. The All-Star Game is regarded as one of the most entertaining in league history.
