CHIEFS CORNERBACK JOHNSON SIGNS WITH RIVAL TITANS
Nazeeh Johnson, a cornerback who won two Super Bowl rings with the Kansas City Chiefs, has signed with the Tennessee Titans. The move was reported by NFL insider Jordan Schultz on X. Johnson visited the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants during the offseason before joining the Titans, a team with a long-standing rivalry with the Chiefs in the AFC.
Johnson recorded 66 tackles and one sack across his career with Kansas City. He logged 286 special teams snaps in 2024 and 494 defensive snaps, and received a special teams grade of 85.6 from PFF in 2022. Johnson was part of the Chiefs' Super Bowl championship teams in 2022 and 2023. His progression was hindered by injury: an ACL tear during the 2023 training camp sidelined him for the entire season, and a shoulder injury in the 2025 preseason limited him to two appearances on special teams.
Johnson joins Tennessee as a depth option in a crowded cornerback room. The Titans cornerback roster includes Alontae Taylor, who played the full 2025 season, and Cor'dale Flott, who appeared in 14 games. Tennessee's General Manager Mike Borgonzi previously worked with the Kansas City Chiefs, creating an overlap in personnel. Johnson will compete for playing time as he seeks to reestablish himself after injury-affected seasons.
