GEORGIA TOFFOLO FLEES CAP FERRET WILDFIRES BY BOAT
Georgia Toffolo has stated that she and her husband fled Cap Ferret hours before wildfires broke out in the region. Toffolo, a television personality, posted on Instagram to explain her absence from social media, saying she had been on holiday in the area with her family. She described watching the situation develop during lunch with friends on Thursday, noting that the fire was initially at a distance but deteriorated rapidly as wind direction changed.
Toffolo married James Watt, co-founder of BrewDog, in March 2025. She stated that she does not post about her location on social media when travelling with children, and instead posts content after leaving an area. According to her account, she and her family packed their belongings and departed by boat as the fire advanced. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from the Cap Ferret resort area in France's Gironde region, with hundreds escaping by boat as firefighters continue operations against the widespread flames.
Toffolo said she and her family were scheduled to leave the area on Friday anyway, travelling to Iceland. She posted a video message to her 1.8 million Instagram followers expressing prayers for those affected by the wildfires. Toffolo is stepmother to Watt's daughters and is known for winning the reality television programme I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
