MAN CHARGED AFTER STABBING OUTSIDE MAESTEG PUB
Geraint Hughes, aged 46 from Maesteg, has been charged following reports of a stabbing on Bethania Street outside the Coytrahen Arms pub on Tuesday, 21 July at approximately 11pm. South Wales Police said Hughes has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assaulting a person causing actual bodily harm. One person was taken to hospital and is now recovering at home, according to police.
Police and paramedics responded to reports of a disturbance at an address on Bethania Street. The incident occurred at 11.20pm, South Wales Police confirmed. Hughes remains in custody pending further proceedings.
