RAVENS WAIVE QUARTERBACK DIEGO PAVIA BEFORE TRAINING CAMP

The Baltimore Ravens waived quarterback Diego Pavia prior to training camp, according to reports from 24 July 2026. The move freed a roster spot for centre Ethan Pocic, whom the Ravens signed to a one-year contract worth $4.5 million. Pavia had joined the Ravens in April as an undrafted free agent on a three-year deal valued at $3.1 million.

Pavia finished as runner-up for the 2025 Heisman Trophy after leading Vanderbilt to one of the programme's strongest seasons in history. Despite his college achievements, he remained undrafted in the 2026 NFL draft. The Ravens' quarterback roster included Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley, Skylar Thompson and Joe Fagnano ahead of Pavia, leaving him competing for a backup position in an already crowded depth chart.

The timing of Pavia's waiver reflected Baltimore's roster priorities entering training camp. Reports suggested Pavia may now explore other NFL teams following his release from the Ravens.
