ADE ADEPITAN IN TALKS TO JOIN I'M A CELEBRITY AS FIRST WHEELCHAIR USER

FRI 24 JUL 2026

Ade Adepitan is in advanced talks to appear on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, according to reports. The Paralympian could become the first wheelchair user to enter the show. Producers are examining ways to adapt the camp to accommodate him, the reports state. Show bosses are said to view Adepitan as a strong candidate for the upcoming series.

Adepitan contracted polio at 15 months old, which resulted in permanent loss of use of both legs. He competed in wheelchair basketball at the 2004 Summer Paralympics and has since worked as a television presenter. He has publicly supported NHS polio vaccination campaigns, speaking about the disease's life-altering effects and urging parents to ensure their children receive booster jabs.

No confirmation has been announced by the show or by Adepitan himself. ITV, which produces I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!, has not issued an official statement on the reports. The show's next series has not yet been scheduled.
