ARSENAL SIGN TZOLIS FROM CLUB BRUGGE FOR £34M

FRI 24 JUL 2026

Arsenal have completed the £34m signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. The 24-year-old Greece international has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League champions. Tzolis joins as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who transferred to Besiktas earlier this month. The move marks Arsenal's third permanent summer signing.

Tzolis scored 43 goals and provided 45 assists across 108 appearances for Club Brugge. He previously spent three years at Norwich City between 2021 and 2024, making 30 appearances for the club but scoring only three goals. During his time at Norwich, Tzolis had loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he scored 24 goals in 35 games in the German second tier during the 2023-24 season. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta described Tzolis as "an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line," stating he possesses "incredible technical ability" and "excellent finishing with both feet."

Tzolis arrives at the Emirates Stadium 48 hours after Arsenal missed out on Morgan Rogers, who signed for Chelsea in a £117m British-record transfer. Arsenal have also signed defender Piero Hincapié on a permanent deal following his loan spell and goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer from Leeds. The announcement comes as Arsenal face the absence of defender William Saliba, ruled out for an "extensive period" with a back problem that will impact the club's Premier League title defence.
