TWO WOMEN SENTENCED FOR STABBING MAN AT MILFORD HAVEN HOUSE

WED 22 JUL 2026 CRIME

Demi Oliver and Kelly Rees were sentenced at Swansea Crown Court after pleading guilty to unlawful wounding following an attack on Warren Harper at a property in Precelly Place, Milford Haven, Wales on 27 July 2024. Oliver, aged 26, and Rees, aged 36, chased Harper around the house and both stabbed him with knives during the incident. The three had been drinking together at the property when neighbours reported hearing loud voices and music. Oliver is the mother of Harper's child, and all three were known to each other and lived near one another.

During the attack, Harper locked himself in the bathroom whilst both women banged on the door. When he attempted to leave the property, Rees, who had taken crack cocaine, was standing in the kitchen holding a knife and cut him on the wrist with a Stanley knife as he reached for his bag. Oliver then slashed him with a different knife. Harper ran upstairs and considered escaping through a window but decided the height was too great. He forced his way out of the house whilst bleeding profusely and was taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest by ambulance, where he required surgery for stab wounds to his wrist and arm.

Judge Huw Rees warned both defendants at sentencing that they would receive immediate custodial sentences. The judge stated that Harper had sustained very serious injuries rather than superficial wounds. Barristers David Singh and Ian Ibrahim offered mitigation for Oliver and Rees respectively at the hearing on Wednesday.
