ANTHONY EDWARDS ORDERED TO PAY $3,222 MONTHLY CHILD SUPPORT
A Georgia judge has ordered Anthony Edwards to pay $3,222 per month in child support to Ayesha Howard for their daughter, Aubri, according to court documents. The ruling concluded a dispute between Edwards and Howard that spanned Georgia and California courts for nearly two years following Aubri's birth in October 2024. Edwards had voluntarily paid $110,000 in interim support since January 2025, beginning with a $20,000 payment followed by $5,000 monthly instalments before the final order was issued.
The case centred on which state held jurisdiction to determine Edwards' child support obligations. Howard filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, whilst Edwards filed in Georgia and argued California lacked personal jurisdiction over him. A California judge ruled in March 2025 that the state could not determine Edwards' child support obligations, effectively resolving the jurisdictional dispute in Edwards' favour. Edwards' legal team had alleged Howard used "the filings, the media campaign, the parallel proceedings in two states" to increase litigation costs. Edwards had previously waived claims to legal custody, physical custody and visitation, stating that "the only issues to be resolved are financial in nature."
The $3,222 monthly figure derived from Georgia's child support guidelines, which cap the basic obligation table at $40,000 in combined monthly parental income and set $3,222 as the presumptive baseline for one child at that income level. The final order represents the most significant decision in the extended dispute between the Minnesota Timberwolves player and Howard.
