EPSTEIN RECRUITER DANIEL SIAD FOUND DEAD NEAR PARIS

Daniel Siad, a French-Swedish model scout, has been found dead at his home near Paris. The Nanterre prosecutor's office confirmed the discovery on Monday evening and announced the finding on Wednesday. Siad was under investigation in France as one of several men accused of aiding financier Jeffrey Epstein to traffic and abuse women. An investigation into the cause of death was opened, with an autopsy to follow. According to preliminary information, Siad is believed to have died of cardiac arrest.

Siad faced rape allegations following the US Department of Justice's release of declassified Epstein files in late January, in which his name appeared in more than 1,000 documents. In messages to Epstein dated July 2014, Siad described his recruitment efforts using fishing metaphors, writing: "In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish." He detailed recruiting women from Sweden, Slovakia, France, Russia and China, with Epstein responding that he would "reimburse you of course for any expenses." Siad had not yet been questioned by investigators but had previously denied the allegations and expressed a desire to provide his account of events.

Siad had insisted that Epstein had "taken advantage of his trust". In 2020, French authorities arrested modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel following allegations he procured women for the American billionaire. The latest development marks another development in the ongoing investigation into the network of individuals accused of facilitating Epstein's abuse of women.
