LOGAN PAUL PITCHED CONOR MCGREGOR WWE MATCH AFTER UFC LOSS
Logan Paul approached WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque with a proposal to stage a match against Conor McGregor following McGregor's defeat to Max Holloway at UFC 329 on 11 July. Paul revealed the pitch during an episode of his Impaulsive podcast, stating he texted Levesque after McGregor's loss to suggest a bout between the two as "big WWE star versus big WWE star". Levesque declined the proposal, according to Paul, saying he believed McGregor was finished as a competitive fighter.
McGregor's fight against Holloway ended after 69 seconds when an awkwardly executed roundhouse kick resulted in a knee injury. Medical confirmation subsequently established the injury as an anterior cruciate ligament tear. The damage has sidelined McGregor for approximately one year, according to available information.
Paul's proposal came amid broader discussion about a potential crossover fight between himself and McGregor that had previously circulated. McGregor retains one fight remaining on his UFC contract, which would take priority over any competition outside the organisation should he return to active participation. Sean O'Malley expressed belief that McGregor would eventually return to competition, though the timing and format of any comeback remains uncertain.
