TIKTOK INFLUENCER MICHAEL SELWOOD FOUND DEAD IN TAMESIDE

Michael Selwood, known as Mikey, was found dead at approximately 5pm on Sunday, 19 July, following a search by Greater Manchester Police in Tameside. He had been reported missing over the weekend, prompting police to issue a public appeal for information on his whereabouts. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Greater Manchester Police stated they had no further details on the circumstances surrounding his death at the time of reporting.

Selwood was a social media figure with a substantial following across multiple platforms. According to reports, he had approximately 21,000 followers on one TikTok page and around 38,000 followers on another. One report indicates he was a boxer who frequently posted about his fights on social media. His last social media post was shared six days before his death was reported.

Following news of his death, numerous tributes were shared by friends and followers across social media platforms. A memorial event has been organised in the form of a balloon release scheduled to take place in Dukinfield on Saturday, 25 July. Greater Manchester Police thanked those who had shared and supported the missing person appeal.
