BIRMINGHAM MAN ARRESTED AT WELSH BEACH OVER BLADED ARTICLE
South Wales Police arrested a 70-year-old man from Birmingham at Aberavon beach in Port Talbot on Monday, 20 July following reports of anti-social behaviour. Officers attended the beachfront at approximately 1.40pm. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Upon arrival, officers identified that the man was in breach of existing police bail conditions. He was arrested on two counts: the suspected possession of a bladed article and the breach of bail. South Wales Police confirmed the man remained in police custody following his arrest.
