TOTTENHAM COMPLETE MULTIPLE SUMMER SIGNINGS UNDER DE ZERBI

Tottenham Hotspur have made several player acquisitions during the summer transfer window as Roberto De Zerbi prepares for his first full season as manager. The club confirmed the signings of defender Jan Paul van Hecke, defender Marcos Senesi, goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and defender Andy Robertson. Midfielder Sandro Tonali joined from Newcastle United in a club-record transfer valued at £100 million. Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes also moved to the club from West Ham United, with the fee reported as £85 million.

De Zerbi took charge of Tottenham during the latter part of last season and guided the squad to a 17th-place finish in the Premier League. The Italian manager employs a fast, possession-based style of football that differs from his predecessors. Van Hecke previously worked with De Zerbi at Brighton and Hove Albion. Senesi was identified as a standout performer at Bournemouth, whilst Dubravka brings Premier League experience and Robertson provides established defensive credentials.

The club has pursued an ambitious transfer strategy ahead of De Zerbi's first complete campaign in charge. Reports indicated Tottenham held interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and AC Milan striker Rafael Leao, though confirmed moves for either player had not materialised at the time of reporting. De Zerbi's recruitment appears focused on assembling players suited to his preferred tactical approach as Tottenham seek to challenge in the upper reaches of the Premier League table.
