DEVONTE WYATT SIGNS THREE-YEAR EXTENSION WITH GREEN BAY PACKERS
Devonte Wyatt has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Green Bay Packers worth $57 million, according to multiple reports. The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus and ties the defensive tackle to the team through the 2029 season. Wyatt was heading into the final year of his rookie contract after the Packers exercised his fifth-year option at a salary of $12.938 million for the 2026 season.
Wyatt was selected by Green Bay with the 28th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Over four seasons, he has appeared in 57 regular season games and recorded 101 tackles and 16 sacks, along with one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. His 2025 season ended early following a fractured fibula and torn ligaments suffered in Week 13 against the Detroit Lions, though he had accumulated 27 tackles and four sacks before the injury.
The Packers will rely on Wyatt as a cornerstone of their defensive line at the start of the 2026 season. He is expected to be joined on the line by Karl Brooks, Javon Hargrave and Lukas Van Ness. The team is awaiting the return of linebacker Micah Parsons, who is recovering from a torn ACL and is projected to miss the beginning of the season, with reports indicating he is on track to return in October.
