KATHERINE SCIVER-BRUNT APPOINTED TRENT ROCKETS WOMEN ASSISTANT COACH
Katherine Sciver-Brunt has been appointed assistant coach of Trent Rockets Women for the 2026 edition of The Hundred. This marks her first coaching role since retiring from professional cricket in 2023. Sciver-Brunt is England Women's second-highest wicket-taker across all formats, with 335 wickets in 267 appearances. She previously played for Trent Rockets in the first three editions of The Hundred, making 19 appearances for the franchise.
Sciver-Brunt spent three years working as a co-commentator and analyst following her retirement. In a statement, she said the appointment represented a return to cricket after time away to adjust to life as a mother. She described Trent Bridge as "a special place" and stated that coaching and mentoring players at this standard was "something I'll love". Sciver-Brunt has a one-year-old son with her wife, fellow cricketer Nat Sciver-Brunt.
The appointment is part of wider coaching changes at Trent Rockets. Former Nottinghamshire spinner Graeme White has joined as fielding coach for the women's squad under Chris Read. For the men's side, Peter Moores has recruited former South Africa white-ball bowling coach Anton Roux as assistant coach. The 2026 edition of The Hundred will be the first competitive fixture for the newly constituted coaching staff.
