MON 20 JUL 2026 FOOTBALL

Hearts will face either Fenerbahce of Turkey or Gornik Zabrze of Poland in the third qualifying round of the Champions League, should they progress past Austrian side Sturm Graz. The Edinburgh club will play Sturm Graz in the first leg on Tuesday, with the second leg scheduled for Tynecastle the following week. The draw was made on Monday and revealed the potential path forward for Hearts under head coach Wouter Vrancken.

Should Hearts fail to progress past Sturm Graz, they will enter the Europa League third qualifying round, where they would face either St Gallen of Switzerland or Benfica of Portugal. Rangers will compete in the Europa League third qualifying round, with Derek McInnes' side scheduled to play Polish opponents Jagiellonia Bialystok away on 6 August and at home on 13 August, subject to calendar adjustments. Shamrock Rovers of Ireland, Larne of Northern Ireland, and several other British and Irish clubs also received their potential fixtures across European competitions following the draw.

The draw detailed pathways across three European competitions for British and Irish clubs. Motherwell, Hibernian, Shelbourne, Derry City and Bohemians learned their possible opponents in the Conference League should they advance through their respective second qualifying rounds. The fixtures represent the latest stage in the qualifying process for clubs competing for places in the group stages of UEFA's three main club competitions.
