KELVIN FLETCHER BANS GADGETS AND TABLETS FROM FAMILY HOME
Kelvin Fletcher has stated that his family home operates without gadgets or tablets, describing the restriction as "a bit of a stickler" for him and his wife Liz. Fletcher, who formerly played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, made the comments during an interview with Cheshire's Mix 56. He said his four children—Marnie, Milo and twins Mateusz and Maximus—benefit from the "sense of freedom" and space to explore that rural living provides. Fletcher suggested the device ban works well for his family, particularly given the outdoor space available at their property.
Fletcher and Liz run a 120-acre farm near Macclesfield in Cheshire, which is documented in ITV's Fletchers' Family Farm. When asked whether restricting device use at home is important, Fletcher agreed that it was "something we really try" to maintain, though he acknowledged that "obviously, each to their own." He added that the farm allows his children to explore outdoors "come rain or shine" in the manner he did as a child.
Liz Fletcher recently spoke on The Farmer's Guardian podcast about her hopes for the farm's future. She described an "emotional thought" about eventually passing the property to the children, stating she "can't wait" to see what they choose to do with it. She indicated that whilst she encourages the children to pursue any path they wish, Fletcher holds the view that they will become farmers.
