SUN 19 JUL 2026 TENNIS

Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Raphael Collignon 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 to win the Swiss Open in Gstaad on Sunday, claiming his first ATP title in 16 months. The Greek won his 13th career ATP title, having last triumphed at the Dubai Open in March 2025, where he beat Felix Auger-Aliassime. Tsitsipas will rise from 85th to 55th in the world rankings following the victory.

Tsitsipas served effectively throughout the final, recording four aces without double faults. He won 21 of 29 points on his second serve and saved two of four break points faced. Collignon, aged 24 and ranked 42nd in the world, reached his first ever ATP final. Tsitsipas' victory marks his sixth career clay court title, including three Monte Carlo Masters crowns won in 2021, 2022 and 2024.

The former world number three and two-time Grand Slam finalist described the final as "amazing" and noted the significance of returning to the winners' circle. Tsitsipas stated that the title "does mean a lot to me" after the extended absence from winning ATP tournaments.
