YOUTUBE PARKOUR STAR GIVEN SUSPENDED SENTENCE FOR CHILD ABUSE IMAGES
Callum Powell, a YouTuber with more than 11 million subscribers, received a one-year suspended prison sentence at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 1 July after pleading guilty to possessing nearly 3,000 indecent images of children. Powell was a member of STORROR, a Brighton-based parkour collective, and had performed stunt work for films including Netflix's 6 Underground. He was permanently removed from STORROR following his arrest and guilty plea.
Police raided Powell's bedroom in June 2025 after receiving data alerts linked to a Google account. Investigators uncovered thousands of illegal files across his iPhone, hard drives and SD cards. According to sentencing remarks from District Judge Amanda Kelly, the discovered material comprised 178 Category A images, 105 Category B images, 2,649 Category C images, three extreme pornographic images and one prohibited image of a child. Category A represents the most serious material, including penetrative sexual abuse of children, whilst Categories B and C involve less serious forms of indecent imagery.
Powell began training in parkour in 2006 and joined STORROR in 2010, subsequently contributing to the collective's significant social media presence. He authored the book What Is Parkour?, published in early 2026. The case marks a significant development in child exploitation investigation, with the scale of material recovered demonstrating the ongoing challenge law enforcement faces in identifying and prosecuting offences involving abuse imagery.
