BBC SPORT DOCUMENTARY FOLLOWS GREENLANDIC FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The BBC has commissioned a documentary following football in Greenland, titled One Week, One Title: Football in Greenland. The programme travels to Nuuk to cover the Greenlandic Football Championship, examining how the sport operates under Arctic conditions. The documentary is 26 minutes long and became available on BBC iPlayer from 1:30pm on 6 September 2025.

Arctic weather in Greenland restricts outdoor football to a narrow window of time each year, creating unique constraints for the sport in the territory. The documentary explores how players and teams navigate these environmental limitations to compete in their national championship. BBC Sport undertook the production to document this distinctive sporting context.

The programme remains available on BBC iPlayer for one month from its initial broadcast date. Viewers can access an audio-described version and a version with sign language interpretation. The documentary forms part of the BBC's broader sports documentary output.
