SAMSUNG FREESTYLE+ PROJECTOR LAUNCHES AT $1,200

FRI 17 JUL 2026

Samsung has made its Freestyle+ projector available for purchase at $1,200 through the company's website and select retailers. The device costs $400 more than the second-generation Freestyle model, which retailed for $800. The new projector introduces updated features including an enhanced 3D Auto Keystone function designed to correct image distortion on irregular surfaces, including corners and curtains with fold marks.

The Freestyle+ can project images up to 100 inches with 1080p resolution and automatically adjust image size to fit available wall space. A feature called Wall Calibration detects the colour of the projection surface and adjusts the image's colour and brightness accordingly, according to Samsung. The projector supports HDR10+ and includes automatic focus detection based on distance to the viewing surface. It features a built-in speaker with dual passive woofers providing 360-degree audio, and can stream content from Galaxy and Apple devices via AirPlay, as well as access Samsung TV Plus channels and Samsung's Gaming Hub.

The projector requires mains power during use but can connect to an external USB-C battery for outdoor applications. Samsung indicates the device enables projection onto varied surfaces, including tent sides and patterned wallpaper, through its Auto Keystone and Wall Calibration technologies. The company positions the Freestyle+ as suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, including camping scenarios where conventional power outlets are unavailable.
