ARSENAL SIGNS DANISH GOALKEEPER DAMM FROM BRONDBY

FRI 17 JUL 2026 FOOTBALL

Arsenal have signed Danish goalkeeper Isabella Damm on a permanent transfer from Brondby IF. The 18-year-old joined after spending time on trial at the club last season. Damm will wear the number 40 shirt and becomes Arsenal's third senior goalkeeper alongside Daphne van Domselaar and Anneke Borbe.

Damm joined Brondby's youth ranks in 2021 and made her first-team debut in October 2025. She holds Denmark youth international caps at under-17 and under-19 level. Arsenal manager Renee Slegers said Damm's "technical ability, composure and bravery are already clear" and praised her potential for progression. Clare Wheatley, Arsenal's director of women's football, stated the club had monitored Damm for some time and believes she ranks among Europe's best young goalkeepers in her age group.

Damm described Arsenal as "the right environment" for her development. The club will support her progression through its goalkeeping coaches and wider staff during her early period at the organisation.
