WAKEFIELD BEAT BRADFORD 26-12 FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

Wakefield Trinity defeated Bradford Bulls 26-12 at Odsal to move second in the Betfred Super League. The victory represents Wakefield's fifth consecutive win in the competition. Wakefield scored five tries during the match. The result moves Wakefield above Wigan in the table before Wigan's fixture against Huddersfield on Friday.

Bradford made an error from the opening kick-off, allowing Wakefield to score immediately through Tom Johnstone. Ethan Ryan equalised for Bradford shortly after, but was subsequently sent to the sin-bin for a dangerous tackle on Wakefield full-back Josh Rourke. The incident shifted momentum towards Wakefield, who mounted sustained pressure on Bradford's defensive line. Bradford have won over half their home games at Odsal since their return to the top flight this season.

Wakefield's performance was not among their most polished, though the team demonstrated resilience when Bradford mounted a second-half attacking barrage. The win comes after Wakefield defeated reigning champions Hull KR the previous weekend. According to one report, the result has reinforced belief that Wakefield can compete for a first Super League title in the summer era.
