MARIUS MULLER JOINS ABERDEEN FROM WOLFSBURG ON TWO-YEAR DEAL

Goalkeeper Marius Muller has joined Aberdeen from Wolfsburg on a two-year contract. The 33-year-old signed for the Scottish Premiership club at Pittodrie. Muller stated that the move happened quickly and expressed his desire to contribute experience and leadership to the team.

Muller began his career at Kaiserslautern before playing for Red Bull Leipzig and Schalke in Germany. He spent four years with Swiss club Luzern, where he won the Swiss Cup in 2021. The goalkeeper consulted fellow German Denis Geiger, a midfielder who was on loan at Aberdeen last season, before joining the club.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson said Muller would provide competition, experience and leadership within the goalkeeping group. Robinson described the goalkeeper as a performer who has maintained high standards throughout his career. The manager stated that Muller's character and professionalism would benefit the squad both on and off the pitch.
