IRELAND RECALL KEY PLAYERS FOR ALL BLACKS TEST AT EDEN PARK
Ireland have named their team for Saturday's Nations Championship match against New Zealand in Auckland, with wing Robert Baloucoune returning after a hamstring injury. Head coach Andy Farrell has recalled nine players following last week's victory over Japan, including captain Dan Sheehan, prop Tadhg Furlong and fly-half Sam Prendergast. The starting XV contains a combined 711 caps, representing a significant shift towards experience after the experimental squad fielded against Japan.
Baloucoune, who won the Six Nations Rising Player award following Ireland's Triple Crown campaign earlier this year, will start on the right wing. Full-back Hugo Keenan returns after his performance against Australia, with Jimmy O'Brien moving to the left wing to accommodate Baloucoune's inclusion. Six players from last week's Japan match have been retained in the line-up: Tom O'Toole, Tadhg Beirne, James Ryan, Jack Conan, Stuart McCloskey and O'Brien.
Ireland will attempt to complete their southern hemisphere leg of the Nations Championship with a win at Eden Park, where New Zealand has not lost since 1994—a run spanning 52 Tests. The All Blacks defeated France and Italy in their opening two Nations Championship matches. The match takes place at 08:10 BST on Saturday.
