TAYLOR SWIFT DEMANDS NO GUEST BUMPED FOR NORTON SHOW APPEARANCE

Taylor Swift insisted that no other guest be removed from the Graham Norton Show to accommodate her last-minute appearance in October, according to the talk show host. Graham Norton recalled at a recent GQ event that Swift's booking came at extremely short notice, requiring the show's production team to consider moving another guest to a different episode. Swift rejected this plan, with Norton stating: "Word came back from Taylor: no one must be bumped." The decision resulted in an unusually crowded episode featuring six guests alongside Norton himself.

Swift appeared on the red sofa alongside actors Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and Domhall Gleeson, and singer Lewis Capaldi. All five guests, plus Norton, later featured in the music video for Swift's song "Opalite", released in February 2026. Swift explained that the concept originated when Gleeson made a light-hearted remark about wanting to appear in one of her music videos. She wrote that she was "instantly struck with an idea" and decided to invite all her fellow guests from that Graham Norton episode to participate in the video.

Norton, speaking at the GQ event, described the episode as "a good show to be on" due to the unexpected collaboration that followed. The identity of the guest who would have been moved remains unknown. Swift's album The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album, was the subject of her appearance on the programme.
