XBOX RELEASES TRANSLUCENT GREEN SERIES X FOR 25TH ANNIVERSARY

Microsoft is releasing a limited edition translucent green Xbox Series X console and matching controller to mark the 25th anniversary of the Xbox brand. The hardware launches this autumn. The translucent design makes internal components visible through the casing. The green colorway references the colour historically associated with the Xbox brand.

The Series X is Microsoft's current flagship home console. The translucent green edition joins a line of special edition hardware releases the company has produced across its console generations. The matching controller ships alongside the console as part of the anniversary release. Limited edition Xbox hardware has previously been tied to milestones, game launches, and brand partnerships.

The 25th anniversary marks a significant period in Xbox's history as a gaming platform that launched in 2001. Microsoft has not announced production volume figures, but the limited edition designation indicates constrained availability. The autumn release window positions the hardware ahead of the holiday shopping season. Consumers interested in the unit will need to monitor official Xbox channels for purchase details as they become available.
