NICOLAS JACKSON INCLUDED IN CHELSEA'S ASIA PRE-SEASON TOUR

Nicolas Jackson will participate in Chelsea's pre-season tour of Asia, new manager Xabi Alonso confirmed during his first press conference. Alonso stated that Jackson would join the tour and work with the squad during preparations. The announcement provides the clearest indication to date that the striker remains part of Chelsea's plans, following recent speculation about his future at the club.

Chelsea have already begun training at Cobham as the club prepares for the 2026/27 season. Jackson is a Senegal international who will have the opportunity to impress during the pre-season schedule. The squad will travel to Asia before returning for the opening Premier League match against Fulham on 24 August.

Alonso did not address Jackson's long-term prospects beyond the pre-season period. The manager's public backing of the striker's involvement suggests the player will be given the chance to demonstrate his fitness and form to the new coaching staff. Chelsea's pre-season arrangements continue to take shape ahead of the new campaign.
