CALL THE MIDWIFE STAR HELEN GEORGE REVEALS BOYFRIEND'S DEATH FROM LEUKAEMIA
Helen George, an actress in Call The Midwife, has disclosed that a boyfriend died from leukaemia shortly after they began dating. The man was diagnosed with the blood cancer, which proved serious from the outset. George said she was required to travel to the Bahamas to film an ITV documentary programme about sharks whilst dealing with his illness. She described calling her best friend and crying about "this lovely, beautiful man" whilst filming took place.
George did not specify the exact timing of events, though the ITV programme was believed to have been filmed in the months before its premiere last July. George has since stated that she attended a clairvoyant reading, where she said the clairvoyant told her the deceased boyfriend had come through to express unhappiness about her subsequent relationships. George described feeling moved by the suggestion that someone she had not known for a long time was watching over her.
Earlier this year, George separated from businessman Dan Innes following a brief relationship in which Innes had moved into her West London home. A source stated that their split followed a "whirlwind romance" during which "their differences became apparent". In the days after the separation, George shared social media posts suggesting she felt disrespected, according to reports.
