COWBOYS DEFENSIVE END SNOWDEN SUSPENDED FOR THREE GAMES

WED 15 JUL 2026 FOOTBALL

Charles Snowden, defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, has been suspended by the National Football League for the first three games of the season, according to the NFL. The league cited a violation of the personal conduct policy but did not specify the reason for the suspension. Snowden remains eligible to participate in all preseason activities and games, with the suspension taking effect once the roster is reduced to 53 players.

Snowden was arrested and charged with driving under the influence in 2024 after police found him unresponsive in the driver's seat of a running motor car that had nearly rolled off a four-foot retaining wall. Authorities recorded his blood alcohol level as more than twice the state's legal limit. Snowden subsequently agreed to a plea deal that reduced the charge to reckless driving.

The suspension affects Snowden's first season with the Cowboys following his signing with the organisation. He will be unavailable for the team's opening three games of the 2026 season, though he may return once that period concludes.
