NINE PLAYERS REMAIN IN 2026 WORLD SERIES OF POKER
Nine players remain in contention for the $10 million first-place prize at the 2026 World Series of Poker following eight days of competition that began with 9,208 entrants. The finalists are Lucas Jumalon, Rami Hammoud, Jamie Shaevel, Greg Mueller, Michael Gagliano, Mario Boos, Lauri Saaskilahti, Han Feng and Evagoras Evagorou. Each of the nine competitors is guaranteed a minimum payout of $1 million. None of the remaining players has previously won the main event.
Jumalon holds the largest chip count entering the final table with 194 million chips, whilst Evagorou holds the smallest stack at 22.5 million chips. The tournament drew international attention when Neymar Jr., the Brazilian footballer, entered the $10,000 six-max event after Brazil's elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Neymar Jr. did not advance to the final table. Michael Mizrachi, the reigning WSOP champion, was eliminated on the fifth day of competition and finished in 241st place, earning $50,000.
Final table action will take place at Paris Las Vegas from 3 to 5 August, with matches broadcast on various ESPN channels. The several-week break before resumption allows the remaining competitors time to prepare for the concluding rounds. The tournament is now guaranteed to crown a first-time main event champion.
