A PLACE IN THE SUN GUEST FEARS WIFE DIED IN SPANISH WILDFIRES

Malcolm Timbrell, who appeared on Channel 4's A Place in the Sun in 2023, has expressed concern that his wife Annette Kilgore may have died in wildfires that devastated the Spanish village of Bédar. Timbrell stated that he is awaiting DNA clarification to confirm her death. He told reporters: "We are just waiting now for DNA clarification. And after that, I will probably just fall apart."

The wildfires in Bédar have resulted in recorded deaths in the region, with one source reporting 13 fatalities linked to the fires. The fires swept through the village, destroying homes and forcing evacuations. Timbrell's appearance on the property-hunting programme in 2023 connected him to the Channel 4 show, which documents British people searching for homes abroad.

The ongoing identification process remains incomplete as authorities work to confirm the identities of those killed in the fires. Timbrell has indicated that the DNA results will provide definitive confirmation of Kilgore's fate. The incident has highlighted the impact of the wildfires on residents and visitors to the affected area.
